#5 Twenty-twenty four
It is difficult to put into words how I feel about the year 2024. It has been a very mixed year, with some amazing moments that will leave lasting memories, carving my next steps in life, but also filled with moments that have served me as a reminder of the fragility of life. With the awareness that this is not just a personal feeling, there’s a collective sense that the weight of the world is pressing heavily on many.
2024 is the year I renewed my sense of wonder as I embarked on discovering new corners of the planet. The most beautiful moments—from waking up on a boat in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea to a glorious sunrise, to soaking in the sunrays on the cold Mont Blanc, to getting lost in the maze in the midst of Venice. It was also the year I mourned my favorite camera, which decided to call it a day—a poignant farewell to the old and an invitation to embrace the new. It was the year I swam more lengths than ever before while coming to terms with what an aging body begins to feel like. It was also the year I decided to quit meat and other unhealthy habits.
Through it all, I’ve selected 12 photographs that hold special meaning for me this year.
Just some amazing work that has left its mark on my creative soul this year:
Lastly to round up the year… I may or may not have some exciting exhibition news in Berlin coming up… keep your eyes peeled!
